J.D. Drew launched 2 homeruns and had 3 RBI and Jake Peavy tossed a complete
game as the Columbus Crowd topped the woeful Chainsaw Proctologists by a
score of 7 to 2 at the ballpark.
Drew had a good day at the plate. He lifted one out of the park for a two run
home run in the 3rd inning, smacked a single in the 5th inning and delivered
a solo blast (his 15th of the season) in the 7th inning. Columbus had 10
hits for the afternoon.
The win was credited to Peavy(12-10) who went the whole way allowing 2 runs.
Vicente Padilla(3-5) was charged with the loss. By giving up 5 runs in 4 and
1/3 innings his ERA increased from 5.84 to 6.14.
